She was born and grew up in Baltimore in the US.

When?
She was born on the 19th September 1941, and died on the 29th July 1974.

What?
Most famous for being in The Mamas & The Papas, who are most famous for the lovely little song below. She did a song with the band ‘Dream a Little Dream of Me’ which most people agree was the start of her solo career.

Mama Cass died in 1974 after two sold-out performances at the Palladium. Most people think that she died eating a ham sandwich, but actually she died of a heart attack in her sleep. She had a bitchin’ voice, and wore some lovely dresses too.
